I’ve had work, both print and video, appear in the Harvard Gazette, Boston Herald, on ESPNBoston, and, most recently, on the social channels for South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass.
For seven years I sat on sidelines and covered sports from every angle for the Boston Herald. I helped jumpstart their multimedia coverage for high school sports and also worked my way up to cover a Super Bowl, a World Series, two NCAA Men’s basketball tournaments and many, many more. It was a thrill to work in a super competitive industry and it taught me how to manage my time, how to work on incredibly difficult deadlines, and how to communicate effectively with people.
I’ve recently made the transition to a communications position at South Shore Hospital. Now I’m in charge of the social media channels for the hospital, helping spread a positive message about the organization. I helped launch a new blog for the hospital and also assist with media relations. I’m part of the marketing team that helps strategize a communications plan for the organization, and the transition has gone very smoothly.
I love what I do and what I do is tell stories. I love meeting people and figuring out the best way to convey their stories to the general public. I can cut and edit video using Final Cut; work on a blog with HubSpot or WordPress; deliver a message through Facebook, Twitter, or other social media; or just help figure out how best to communicate messaging to the ever changing world.
I’m a two-time marathoner, a one time half IronMan, and love a new challenge, both professionally and physically.
