The Movement Family

One of my favorite stories that I worked on last year happened around the holidays. I met Michael Gorman through the game of basketball, but the work he did off the court was so much more beneficial.

Gorman, a graduate of Anna Maria, created The Movement Family, a group of high school and college students who look after the homeless in the Greater Lawrence area. Lawrence and it’s surrounding towns are some of the hardest hit by the homeless epidemic in this state and Gorman decided to do something about it.

Read about how Gorman and his crew gives time and effort to the people living under bridges in Lawrence in the Christmas edition of the Boston Herald: http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/college/college_basketball/2014/12/anna_maria_college_seniors_group_helps_homeless_reaches
