Thanksgiving Tradition

I don’t get to eat my Thanksgiving Day feast until about 6 p.m. every holiday for the past four years, but I enjoy every minute of it.

High School football in Massachusetts reigns supreme on Thursday once a year and I’ve been lucky enough to work with a great crew at the Boston Herald for the past four years. I wanted to share some of my work from the holiday as playoff matches were set and features stories were told throughout the week.

It’s a great tradition, and not a lot of people get to experience it from the reporter’s view. Just a great, long, day.

Here is my game coverage with video from Andover’s big win over Central Catholic in the MVC. The Golden Warriors will now faceoff against St. John’s Prep in the Div. 1 semifinals.

Austin Roberts of Brockton is one of the toughest kids around in Eastern Mass. He returned from a spine injury in only two weeks, and he’s got the Boxers right in the thick of things on the other side of the Div. 1 playoff format. Here’s a look at his story with a video.
